Betty’s Trip to Evans Orchard with Family–NO RECIPE–
In this video, Betty, her husband, Rick, her daughter, Chelsea, her son-in-law, Chris, her grandson, Carter, and her dog, Remy go to Evans Orchard in Georgetown, Kentucky for a day of fun. After we arrived, Chris, Chelsea, Carter, and Remy headed off to the children’s playground, while Rick and I took a trailer ride through the orchard. We saw acres and acres of apple, peach, and pear trees, which had already been mostly harvested. We also saw several fields of pumpkins. When we returned from out trailer ride, Rick and I joined Chris, Chelsea, and Carter and navigated the corn maze. Carter made several visits to a tall slide and did several other games that were designed for children. Rick, Chelsea, and I visited the small store at Evans Orchard, where we found lots of fruit products like apple butter, apple cider, plus memorabilia, and much, much more. We were hungry for lunch after all of this activity, so we decided to have lunch at Evans Orchard. I had a hot dog with potato chips, an Ale-8-one drink, and a fried apple pie. Rick had a jumbo hot dog with some tomatoes and pickles, along with some Sun chips. Chelsea had a pulled pork sandwich that contained fruit from the orchard. Chris had and Orchard burger, which was a hamburger, orchard-style. Carter had some chips and bread. Remy was not left out– he got a plain hot dog and water. We dined to live music that was playing just a few yards away. One of our goals for the trip was to pick out a pumpkin for this year’s …

Looks like a fun trip! Everyone is looking really great..love Carter’s haircut w/the cute spikes up front..he is really a cutie patootie, lol. I heard real pumpkin used for pies leads to a difficult pie filling to deal with, runny and watery, much easier from the can.

i remember not liking the drives to evans orchard when i was younger. but now that i see it, it is absolutely beautiful! thank you again for taking us along on the trip! i hope to see a delicious recipe soon! (a fried apple pie maybe??)
