For crushing the tomato, i found a way to crush it, just a potato presser

i cook my sauce for like… a day and then refrigerate over night, then simmer on low for an hour the next day.
just a little olive oil
bout one clove garlic minced… saute just until soft
fill the pot with well crushed or liquefied tomatoes
add bout a tsp or two of basil oregano and parsley
bout half cup grated Romano
and a BONE! any bone, like you are making soup, sometimes i just use a couple chicken legs or ribs… anything
cook like i said above taking the bones out after 2 to 4 hours

@RealityIsTheNow OK, since after centuries tomatoes in the Americas are still waterish, flavorless and basically disgusting, we are glad we “imported” the yellow fruit here in Europe and even happier for having it planted in Italy. In fact, since you guys have a real passion for chemistry and very little for nature (even your milk is added with cancerous rBGH), we decided to eat our best tomatoes and ship to you the lousiest ones in a can. WTF, you wouldn’t tell the difference anyway. ^__^

@iononcentro
Its a good thing we exported those tomatoes to you guys in the first place then. Tomatoes are native to this side of the Ocean…so I don’t think there is any significant advantage in growing a New World plant in Europe.

What I still do not understand is why in US, tomatoes taste so awful. With imported italian grapes you did a great job making remarkable types of red wine….then why can’t you do the same with tomatoes and stop using those terrible cans. Here in Italy only young single guys with no cooking experience use canned food except my son who comes home from school and makes a tomato fillet sauce in 10 minutes with some plum tomatoes a clove of garlic, e.v. olive oil and a sprig of fresh basil.

The San Marzano tomatoes make ALL the difference in any sauce. They are simply the best. Great video Chef John!!!!
