Kindly refer to the recipes of kumbh hara pyaaz biryani, brown rice biryani with chutney chicken, methi chaman biryani on our site. For making brown onions, deep fry them in medium hot oil till brown and grind to a smooth paste with water.

Hi Chef, I tried this biryani last sunday and it turned out awesome, wonderful, etc. I did some changes like cooked the chicken 75% and then added the rice as I was afraid of burning everything (which happened once haha). But it came out really good. Thank you so much for such wonderful recipe. I have one more request, can you show us how to make chicken 65? I have seen other recipes but I want your recipe. Thank you.

Use mediun heat ( 4-5 ) to cook the biryani. Once you put your biryani on dum , reduce it to 2 or 3.

Hi Mr.Singh. I’m a big fan of your recipes. I have an electric cooking range and it has 10 heating levels. So I’m confused about the heat setting I need to use for cooking the biryani. Could you help me out with that?

I love the layering and composition of flavors in Indian cooking; from powdered dry spices to fresh and soaked spices to marinades and infused rice; multiple cooking methods, saute, tandoori, wet, braising.. it all plays a part and comes together into something deep, complex, beautiful, and outright delicious! And these videos by the Singh’n Chef are excellent, they show exactly what you need to know to duplicate at home for family or guests. Every bit as good as Ramsay’s Cookalong. Bravo!

Absolutely right. The biryani should never be cooked in pressure cooker and should always be made on gas range.
