The ingredient that I did not mention is about 10 thick slices of ginger, which I put in the soup at the beginning. Remove the ginger after everything had cooked; if you don’t, it ends up becoming quite overwhelming.
P.S. The geek says he isn’t out the woods, but he feels better (two days later).
