SEASONED SHREDDED PORK
1 lb (500 g) lean pork, shredded
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1-2 teaspoons sugar
Pinch of freshly ground white pepper
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1-2 tablespoons oil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
METHOD
Mix the meat with the soy sauce, sugar, pepper and cornstarch. Heat the oil and lightly fry the garlic until fragrant. Add the seasoned meat, and stir-fry until it is cooked. Add a dash of water to moisten, stir to mix and serve.
This dish may be made with sliced onion instead of garlic for a change. Sliced a large onion, fry the sliced lightly in the hot oil first, then add the seasoned meat and cook according to the instructions above.
