STIR-FRIED CABBAGE WITH EGG (ORAK-ARIK)
2 tablespoons oil or butter
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 large onion, cut in two across and thinly sliced lengthwise
14 oz (400 g) cabbage, finely sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat the oil in a wok and stir-fry the garlic and onion until they are soft. Add the cabbage and salt and pepper and stir-fry until cooked but still crisp. Push the cabbage to the edges of the pan and break the eggs into the center. Break the yolks and stir the eggs only with the edge of the spatula until the white and yolk are mixed. When the eggs begins to set on the bottom stir everything together, mixing it with the cabbage until it is just cooked.
