1. Put the chick-peas and the liquid from the cans into a food processor or blender.
2. Add the juice of 1 lemon, some garlic, the tahini, a splash of olive oil and seasoning. Whiz to a purÃ©e.
3. Check the flavour and adjust as necessary. Once you have the perfect taste and texture, scrape the hummous into a bowl.
4. Drizzle some olive oil over the top and sprinkle with a little paprika for effect.
